Sounds of the Isles is a breathtaking CD composed of 19 instrumental tunes. This album resonates with the echoing sounds of the tin whistle. Sounds of the Isles presents a captivating collection of traditional Irish and Scottish tunes. Through the sounds of the tin whistle, the melodies conjure up images of fields, mountains and scenery of the British Isles. "Let Love Guide Your Heart" (track 4) was written by Gayle Newman-Torla (the artist on the cover). Gayle and her dad John Patrick Newman also co-wrote "The Tall Ships", which was actually a "birthday gift" from Gayle to her father. When Gayle asked her dad, John, what he wanted for his birthday, he simply said, "Come over to the house and play a wee tune with your father". So Gayle and her dad sat at the edge of the water and began to jam... and that is how "The Tall Ships" was born.
